  The floating pod is really an incredible and different experience. I wish I was a better mediator to enjoy the silence and my senses. Was treated well, they offer a bit of food and drink between appointments - fresh and delicious! One of the best massages I've had in a long time. Oliga is a master, warm and fast paced deep tissue massage that fits me really well. I highly recommend!

... Great way to relax and unwind ...

  This is a great place to go if you need to unwind.
There are allocated days for women or men only in Sauna, other days are mixed. I stick to women's only; Tuesday and Thursday. The sauna can be followed by plunge pool. There are lounge chairs where you can sit in between to read or just relax. The staff can bring you choice of drinks and fresh fruit.
I mixed with massage. The masseuse comes and grabs you from sauna area when it is time. The massage was fantastic.
The other option I tried was float pool. Have had friends that love them and was keen to try. Unfortunately with eczema it didn't feel great for me. The float pool has shower and use of all products needed to follow float.
Overall this is great place to rejuvenate. Look forward to going again.

... Heaven on Earth ...

  was gifted a massage at Tory Urban Retreat by a friend who is a long time visitor there. My friend recommended a massage with Kasey and I can see why. I had never had a massage before and was a little nervous, but Kasey was a very thoughtful and considerate therapist. She made me feel at ease and very relaxed, and the massage was amazing. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Was my first massage and it definitely won't be my last!

  I had the most amazing experience and wonderful service. I pinched a nerve in my back and I’m pregnant so was very uncomfortable upon arrival. The woman who greeted me was soo welcoming and lovely and very thorough with explaining everything to me. After the float I had a cup of tea and fruit waiting in the relaxation room amazing! I felt a lot less stressed and looser after my float will definitely do this again and highly recommend it.

... I came out feeling like a million bucks. Would definitely recommend this to my family and friends ...

  My husband and I went here on a Saturday morning, we each had a float booked one after the other and then a massage afterwards. My husband went for his float first while I waited in their relaxation room, the lady there was so lovely, she gave me a blanket, some tea and even some fresh fruit while I waited. Once it was my turn to float my husband had a sauna and a dip in the plunge pool while he waited he said it was very nice. I really enjoyed my float it was an amazing experience and I will do it again. When I came out from my float I had more fruit and some coconut water waiting for me. We then each had a massage, mine was from Miki and it was so relaxing. I came out feeling like a million bucks. Would definitely recommend this to my family and friends. Staff were amazing as well.

  Going to Tory Urban Retreat for a float is a wonderful experience. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxing, and all the little extras you could need are provided. The actual floating experience is amazingly relaxing and tranquil, and I highly recommended it.

... I left feeling so rested and ready to tackle the world ...

  This was the most perfect way to spend my day off, I booked in and was a little nervous, I mean you're basically in a dark cocoon by yourself for an hour, I wasn't sure I liked myself enough to spend an hour in some salty water with just me!
Oh. My. Days.
I think I'll do this every day off, it was so beautiful and relaxing, totally blissed out! Not only were the people looking after me just the most gorgeous kind of people but the place felt a million miles from a city centre even though it's on a main street, and don't get me started on the smell of the products. Ok yes I know I'm gushing but seriously, such a wonderful experience, I left feeling so rested and ready to tackle the world, my mind shut off and went to places I can only hope (plead, pray) I can go back to!
Thank you so much... I've booked for 3 so I'll be back!

... something I will be eager to repeat ...

  I couldn't believe such an oasis could exist within the hustling bustling cbd. But I was welcomed into a serene oasis and my enjoyment was seamlessly created by the staff, the interiors and the pod experience. I was apprehensive at first about what the sensory deprivation and salt pod experience would be like, but it was unlike anything I've ever done and something I will be eager to repeat. When I got out of my float I felt boneless, all my worries and kinks and aches were soothed and forgotten. Sitting with my cup of tea and a bowl of lovely fruit in their calming relaxation room afterwards I felt reflective and meditative. What a wonderful experience!

... the following day felt way better than I normally do after the big compeition ...

  Went in for my first float, staff were very professional and explained everything for me. Definitely an interesting experience and felt very alert afterwards. I went in before a competition to relax and focus. Was great. Also tried the hyper baric for recovery after and I can say the following day felt way better than I normally do after the big compeition.

  The pod was roomy and very comfortable and not at all claustrophobic - just lie down and relax and listen to music. Afterwards I felt totally invigorated and felt as if my inner body had been cleansed and renewed. It seems to have relieved my headaches from the concussion. How often can you breathe in totally clean oxygen into your body. This therapy was amazing and have already booked my next session.

  I've read a bit about hyperbaric therapy but after trying it out at urban retreat I'm sold. My injuires feel a lot better and I feeI i have more energy, the staff and environment are amazing, I'm deffinately going back. Thanks urban retreat for making this accessible in the middle of the city
